We are a social group for adults with learning disabilities, providing opportunities to make friends and build community. We meet once a month to socialise in a variety of ways, from an evening of baking to a pub night or bowling.
Perhaps, in our increasingly visual, media-led culture we’ve confused youth, beauty and status with perfection. But deep down we all know that the things we really care about aren’t visible at all – love, compassion, humour, empathy, playfulness, creativity. Maybe one of the great gifts people with disabilities have for the rest of us is the power to remind us of this, to teach us, and to lead us back into our own humanity.

We’d love you to join us for a community picnic, open to all and free of charge. We’ll have plenty of activities and a swimming pool to enjoy so we’re hoping for sunshine! ☀️

Do come along, it's a great chance to have your say and keep up to date with what's happening at CKBC - there will also be refreshments and nibbles!
